The theme of the day is people who are booked in for 3 days checking out after 2. We used to be sold out for this weekend but now we have 13 rooms to sell.
All of these rooms were booked through groups who will ultimately pay for them but its frustrating because we've had a zillion people call to try and book rooms and we've had to tell them that we are sold out.
We had quite a few walk-ins (people without a reservation who just walk in off the street) which is a bit unusual for us but it's a really nice weekend so there are lots of people who have come for the day and decided to stay somewhere. Things with Caitlin are going fine, apperently my international relations faux pas has been forgiven/forgotten. There were a zillion people working today and while it was good when it was quite busy with check-ins (2 weddings and 2 conferences this weekend) it wasnt as though we needed 4 people. There are, afterall, only 2 check in computers. I find it interesting that there is no evaluation process at the resort. Everyone just criticizes everyone else behind their backs and writes them tersely worded memos on the property management system. We have 6 hours of training on Thursday. Subject: how to answer the phone.
