that's the way the cookie crumbles
Every day something at the resort totally blows my mind.
Today, such things include:
The panic button at the new hot tub not being labeled as such so that a)if someone was actually panicing they wouldn't know what the button was for and b)small children and others press it thinking that it activates the hot tub (which currently isn't working)
A guest room that became infested with flying bugs to such a degree that maintenance had to be called in because there was no bug spray at the front desk.
The three night stay required for the long weekend being repeatedly challenged by people trying to make reservations.
Me telling at least 20 people that a manager would be in "tomorrow at 7am" so they're going to get slammed this morning, unfortunately for them.
There is also an ongoing saga involving a couple who walked in and were given (by me) a rate of 129$ for 2 nights because when they arrived on the wednesday it was actually the end of a special promoting such a price and they weren't staying until the weekend (when prices go up). As it turns out, they have friends staying the same dates in the same kind of room for 189$ a night but the friends made reservations. Basically, this is the chance you take, if we didn't have any rooms then they wouldn't have had a place to stay. The 189$ people are majorly ticked off, and while I understand their frustration bascially you're paying to make sure that you have a room.
