$167.14 to be exact

I'm hemoraging money.

The last 3 days have been the kind where every time you walk by the bank you realise that, even though you took out 40 or 60 dollars the day before, or sometimes even that very morning, you no longer have any money left.

Plus, when your phone bill is in excess of $150 for 10 days worth of use, well, that's a bit of a problem. I won't be checking my email on my phone very much any more, that's for sure.

All of this is hampered by the fact that there is not going to be any money coming in over the next 5 months as I have a month of classes starting January 8th and then go out on an unpaid internship until the end of april.

I find it much more satisfying to live frugally if there is money coming in because you can see improvement in the bank account, as opposed to mere stagnation.

This is not to say that the last few days have not been a ton of fun, actually. I've mostly been paling around with roomie, going out for most of our meals (that's where the cash is going) and going to see Casino Royale yesterday (which I liked because I basically went into it as an action movie and not a Bond movie, not that I've seen all that many bond movies anyway).

Today I'm watching the world junior tournement Canada vs. USA and then I'm going to the library to return my overdue books and go to no-frills to get some foodstuffs. Roomie is working from 12 noon until 1030pm or so, so I'm mostly chillin alone. After no frills I'll either make or go buy lunch, depending on if I'm craving something that we have the stuff to make or not.

I'm also trying to get into the habit of going to the gym when I have random time that I'm just sitting in the apartment and not using things like "I already showered today" as an excuse not to go.

Tomorrow I have to drop by the hotel to get them to fill out my WSIB form for my internship and get fitted for my uniform. Then I'm going to head over to the good video rental place to see if I can get the new Kevin Smith Q&A for Connor and my "day of fun" on Friday.

That's about it for now. At some point I was thinking of going up to school to get my textbook that I need for this semester so that I didn't have to do it on the first day but it's only 1 book so I'll just go in a little bit early on monday and get it I suppose. I also need to procure a lab manual but other than that (and the fee for access to the online course) my text book bill should be under $350 this semester. yay.
